3 Moving Tips from Lowe's and 1-800-PACK-RAT

Our friends over at 1-800-Pack-Rat and Lowe's put together a quick list of 3 moving tips that we wanted to share with you!

A lot of folks are getting ready to move and store their stuff. We are here to help! Check out these three tips to get your move off on the right foot:

- Take an inventory: Things are so harried during a move; it's easy to lose track of the stuff that's coming and going. Protect your possessions by creating a home inventory. Take snapshots or create a written list of your belongings and keep that with you.

- Make yourself available: Make yourself available to your mover answer questions during loading and unloading. Review the home inventory paperwork and make sure the driver has your contact information and details of your delivery.

- Be safe: Whether you're hiring professionals or moving yourself, remove all rugs, low hanging items and tripping hazards. Keep walkways clear at all times. Arrange a baby-sitter for very young children, and make sure pets are away from loading and unloading.

Thank you for making us your Columbus movers of choice!

Holiday Open House

E.E. Ward welcomed guests to their facility this past Wednesday, for their Holiday Open House. The event was held to showcase the inner workings of E.E. Ward, while celebrating the Holidays. Upon arrival, each guest received an E.E. Ward passport and were encouraged to visit five stations set up around the facility. The E.E. Ward Team acted as "travel ambassadors" at the stations, providing a demonstration of packing, storing, and customer service. E.E. Ward would like to thank everyone in attendance for their participation and support! To view more photos, visit http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=259053&id=128953379403.

The Interns' Day Out

E.E. Ward Moving & Storage has three interns; Megan Powell, Chris Olson, and Gavin Anderson. Each has a respective area of expertise. Megan specializes in marketing; Chris, digital media; and Gavin, logistics. Yesterday, August 12, 2009, Chris and Megan went on a move site to experience the process of moving. They met with three members of E.E. Ward’s finest crew; Rhonda, Marina, and Raleigh. They discovered how E.E. Ward movers handle the packing process, ensuring the safety and security of the home owner’s possessions. Rhonda, the crew driver, gave Megan an impressive demonstration on the proper way to pack expensive glassware. Raleigh showed them how to wrap a couch in order to protect it from any sort of debris. Chris photographed the visit so they could share their experience. Check out these

action shots! They also have video soon to come.
